Abstract
The rise of online dating apps has revolutionized the way people connect, but it has also introduced significant challenges, including catfishing, fraudulent profiles, and privacy concerns. These issues undermine users' trust and create a less secure environment for forming genuine relationships. We propose to build Conviction - a decentralized dating platform that leverages blockchain technology to enhance trustworthiness through digital verification and transparent user identities. By utilizing smart contracts and immutable records, the platform addresses common pitfalls associated with traditional dating apps, ensuring that profiles are authentic and secure. Additionally, a subscription-based service model is emphasized, as it not only provides a sustainable revenue stream but also incentivizes users to engage meaningfully, fostering a community focused on serious connections. This innovative approach aims to redefine online dating by prioritizing safety, authenticity, and user satisfaction.
