Abstract
Microclimate research was conventionally conducted using dedicated monitoring equipment. Featuring a treatment condition and a control condition, microclimate is examined in a comparative manner. In this way, duplicate or even multiple sets of weather stations which would comprise of a data logger and the associated sensors would be required. As the design of microclimate monitoring campaign has become increasingly elaborate, the demand for equipment has also surged. However, a limited research budget would present a considerable financial burden on microclimate researcher. Therefore, this research aimed to develop an Arduino-based data logger to be used with digital sensor. Following the explanation of the construction and design goals, a live demonstration would be provided.
