Abstract
An exhibition at HKDI this autumn titled "Tradition/Anti-Tradition" sought to examine the transformation of photography in Hong Kong and Mainland China by reviewing the early and recent work of leading photographers from both regions. Amanda Shuai discovered that the images also gave powerful insights regarding the future of the photographic arts.
